Vintage Fruit Label Mosaics
Each of the seven murals was inspired by historic fruit labels of local Tieton and upper Yakima Valley fruit family businesses. They were funded by a seed money grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and generous local supporters.
Each mural is seven feet wide, and consists of thousands of pieces of glass. They have helped give this small orchard town a distinctive identity that directly connects with the area’s strong agricultural roots.
The Tieton murals inspired other commissions for vintage apple label designs.
